Quarter Two Happenings

Let me begin by saying how great it was to see those of you who came to Parent-Teacher Conferences this past week! I truly enjoy teaching your children and learning together with them.

It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving and Christmas are quickly approaching. With that being said, attendance is crucial. We have various projects and tests coming up these next few weeks and to help your student avoid unnecessary stress, it is to his/her benefit to be at school everyday.

Per request, I have added a calendar to my site where it shows upcoming tests. Many of you expressed that you are trying to give your child more responsibility and expect him/her to inform you about upcoming tests, projects, etc., but some have struggled with this responsibility. The test/project calendar is located on the student support page (need to scroll down). The website provider will only allow me to post five events at a time. Therefore, I will not be posting spelling and reading tests on the calendar; spelling and reading tests are always on Friday's unless there is no school on Friday. I will post all other tests and projects that they have coming up. Test dates are subject to change based on how far we get within a week. I hope that the calendar gives everyone a better idea of when tests and projects are coming up.

This year's Thanksgiving Luncheon is on Tuesday, November 22nd. 6th graders are asked to bring extra large cans of corn. All food items can be dropped off in the office. If you are interested in volunteering, please let Laura in the office know!

As always, please let me know if you have any questions, comments or concerns! I've enjoyed working with all of you and look forward to continuing our partnership to help your student be nothing but successful!

God Bless,

Ms. Carolyn Tuski
