Fall Happenings!

The school year is flying by so far and it is hard to believe that we have four weeks left in the first quarter! The students have been working very hard and I can see their growth already.

Thank you to all of you who joined us on our trip to Camp Lael. The students are still talking about how much fun they had and everything that they learned. We have continued our discussions from Camp Lael in the classroom and are working towards becoming better stewards of God's creation.

For our book report this month, students are asked to read a mystery book. Most students have their book from the library already but in case some student decide to change their mind/have not found the book yet, they will need to have it picked out by Monday October 10th. Students need to be done reading their book by Friday October 21st. Though students are given time to read their book in class, they need to be reading their book at home as well. The project that the students will be working on this month is called the Mystery Book Buffet. Please see the updates page for the directions. The project is due on Monday October 31st.

As a reminder, please make sure your students are coming to school with the proper uniform. Socks must be a solid color (white, navy blue, or forest green) and be either crew or knee socks. NO ANKLE SOCKS. Also, make sure your student is coming to school on Friday's with their ties!

Also, this Friday is picture day! Students may not wear jeans. Ladies do not need to wear a skirt or dress.

As always, I'm here for you if you have any questions, comments or concerns!

God Bless,

Ms. Carolyn Tuski

O God of Creation, you have blessed us with the changing of the seasons.

As we embrace these autumn months,

May the earlier setting of the sun

remind us to take time to rest.

May the crunch of the leaves beneath our feet

remind us of the brevity of this earthly life.

May the steam of our breath in the cool air

remind us that it is you who give us your breath of life.

May the scurrying of the squirrels and the migration of the birds

remind us that you call us to follow your will.

We praise you for your goodness forever and ever. Amen
